For healthy healing, we recommend avoiding swimming and submerging your new piercing for a minimum of 3 months.
Water from pools, hot tubs, lakes, rivers, and oceans can introduce bacteria into a fresh piercing, increasing the risk of infection. Prolonged moisture can also cause irritation and soften the delicate healing tissue, making it more vulnerable to complications.
If you have beach days, pool parties, vacations or other water activities planned, we recommend booking your piercing appointment afterward so your new piercing can heal with the care it needs.
A little patience during the healing process can make a big difference in the long-term health and appearance of your piercing.

Studio policies
A small, shared studio runs on a few clear expectations. Here is everything to know before your appointment.
Appointment only
"Relic is strictly appointment based for all services, including shopping for jewellery." Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
Age requirements
Services are available to clients aged 13–15 with a legal guardian present, and 16+ with valid photo ID. Nipple piercings are 18+ only.
ID requirements
You must present a physical, government-issued photo ID that is not expired. Photos or digital copies are not accepted.
Acceptable ID — adults
• Canadian driver's licence
• Canadian passport
• Provincial / territorial ID card
• Permanent resident card
Acceptable ID — minors
• Birth certificate and School Photo ID card + guardian's government ID
• Passport + guardian's government ID
Guest policy
Relic is a cozy, shared space and we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing guests.
Our waiting room is small and reserved for clients who have booked an appointment. Guests may be asked to leave the studio.
Booking with a friend? You may arrive together, but please create your own Fresha accounts and book back-to-back (maximum 2 people total).
Arrival time
Please arrive no more than 5 minutes early, as early arrivals may disrupt the reservation before you.
If you arrive earlier, you may be asked to return at your scheduled time.
Service availability
If you do not see a piercing or service listed, it is not offered at this time.
Payment & cancellations
You will not be charged at the time of booking. Fees are collected after your service, or charged online in the event of a last-minute cancellation or no-show.
We accept debit, credit (including Amex),gift cards, e-transfer, and cash — e-transfer or cash kindly preferred to reduce administrative fees.
Jewellery policy
For your health and safety, all new piercings must be performed with brand-new, sterile, implant-grade jewellery provided by Relic. Outside jewellery cannot be used for new piercings.
Piercing jewellery is single-use and cannot be reused for another new piercing, but it may be worn again in healed piercings.
Jewellery from outside the studio can only be installed in fully healed piercings if it is made by an APP-compliant manufacturer.

Prices are per piece of jewellery (not sold as pairs) and may vary with availability and the cost of precious metals. Gold pricing fluctuates by colour, supplier, and market value. For your health and safety, all jewellery is final sale and single-use for fresh piercings;outside jewellery is not permitted for new piercings.
